JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation wants to thanks deer hunters, processors and sponsors for sharing the harvest. Deer hunters donated over 348,00 pounds of venison this past season.
Spokesperson for the MDC Joe Jerek told KXCV/KRNW that Share the Harvest was founded in 1992.
The program has provided more than four million pounds since it began.
